Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026/6/15

Introduction

Thank you for using InkDock. This Privacy Policy explains how InkDock handles selected files, local transfer targets, device settings, diagnostics, and transfer history.

1. Data Collection

InkDock does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. We do not receive your files, usage history, diagnostics, device identifiers, private keys, hosts, or full target URLs through InkDock.

2. Files

On macOS, InkDock reads files you choose in the main app, drop into the Floating Drop Box, send through Finder Send to InkDock, or convert through the Finder Quick Action.

On iOS / iPadOS, InkDock reads selected Markdown/PDF files from Files so they can be sent to the local target you configure.

Those files are not sent to servers controlled by the developer.

3. Local Settings and Transfer History

InkDock stores local transfer targets, device settings, send preferences, and recent transfer metadata on your device. The transfer list is a privacy-minimal transfer history for reviewing recent send status; it does not expose device identifiers, hosts, private keys, or full target URLs as user-facing history data.

4. Local Network Use

InkDock connects to local transfer targets that you configure or discover from an explicit local-network action, including BOOX Web, Digital Paper, and Quaderno. Uploads happen over your local network or the address you explicitly provide.

5. Markdown-to-PDF Conversion

On macOS, if Markdown-to-PDF conversion is enabled, InkDock converts user-selected Markdown files to PDF locally for upload or Finder Quick Action export. Normal user-facing builds do not send converted documents to the developer.

6. Diagnostics

InkDock-owned diagnostics stay local, bounded, and redacted before copy or export. They are intended to help troubleshoot transfer and conversion behavior without exposing sensitive target details.

7. Third-Party Services

No developer-side file collection, analytics SDK, ad tracking, cloud account, relay upload service, or developer-side file storage is included in the current version.

8. Changes to This Policy

If InkDock's data handling changes in the future, this page will be updated and the date above will change accordingly.
